The Circuit of Love
در حلقه ی عشق

بدرم و چهره به هر شام نمی تابانم

خون خورم با خود و گاهی قدحی افشانم

I'm the luna plena, not lustering every night! I bleed lonely, and once in a while, dance and drink!

شب سر از پوست برون آرم و بگشايم دل

روز در شهر بچرخم كه سری بشكانم

I peer, exuviate and exhilarate, in the night, and walk in the city, to trouble somebody, in the day!

من گلستانم و سد جنت پنهان دارم

بلبلی كو كه شود نعره زن بستانم

I'm a flower paradise, with many secret gardens, but there is no nightingale lamenting in my orchard.

آتشی دارم و در سينه نهانش كردم

عاشقی می طلبم تا جگری سوزانم

I've a fire, hidden in my chest, want a lover to burn a heart.

خلق گريان كه چرا يار ببريد و برفت

من بر آن يار بخندم كه جزين نتوانم

Poeple cry, when sweetheart left them, but It made me laugh to that sweetheart.

نور جان تابد از انديشه ی روشن رايان

نور خود جمله منم من كه سراسر جانم

Lux of life, luminate from wisdom of enlighteneds, I'm, but, the lux itself, because I'm fully life!

بحر كی رنگ پذيرد كه همه رنگ دروست

خاك نالايدم و شعله نسوزد جانم

The sea, will not be dyeable, because it contain every colour, itself, so dust will not make me soiled, and fire will not make me burned!

دلبرا ناز مفرمای كه من خود نازم

تو بيا محو شو در نقش نگارستانم

My dear, please not to demure! become thou, perplexed in my beautiful essence!

عشق بايست نه معشوق كج انديشه و گيج

هم تو را خواهمت ای عشق كه من عرفانم

Only love, not devious paramour, I want, because I'm Erfan (=Mysticism)

شمس منم عقل منم هم كنون   هم قمرم می بفزايم جنون

I'm the sol, I'm the wisdom, and I'm the luna, making insane, making lunatic!

حجره ی خورشيد مرا تنگ بود   سقف دريدم بپريدم برون

Chamber of the sun, was narrow for me, so devoured the roof, and flighted to the beyond!

نور شدم تافتم از جسم خويش   كالبدی ماند همه خاك و خون

I became light, and glowed from my body. Remained a corpse, full of soil and sang.

آتشی و آبی خود سوختم   جاريم اكنون چو هوا در دو كون

I set the fire, to my fireness and wateriness, now I'm flowing as the air, in the worlds.

كفر مرا يافت كه معشوق چيست   هيهات هيهات لما توعدون

Impiety found me, and said: what's the beloved? "Away, away with his predictions!" (Holy Qoran, Sura 23:36)

گفتم معشوق منم پيش آی   تا كنم ات جمله هم الوارثون

I said: I'm beloved one, come thou, to make thee "Those shall be the heritors" (Holy Qoran, Sura 23:10)

چون بشدم نور تو رنگ منی   جز كه به رنگی نروم در عيون

I became the lux, and th'art my colour, and the eyes will not see me, but with the colours.

از من خود باز شو و در من آی   تا كه در اين بحر بگردی فزون

Discord from thy essence, and come on inside me, to become more and more in this ocean (of unity).

قفل طلسمات دوئی برشكن   پاك شو و پاك شو از اين فسون

Break the lock of biness talisman, become cleaned and purified from this spell...

عرفان ماندست خدايا به خويش
نور شو تا هم تو درآيی درون

Erfan, is remained, my lord, with him. Become thou, lux, to come in...
